TETRA-S Project

Grant • 2022–2022

The TETRA-S project, aimed at improving educational competences for teaching transversal skills to adults with cognitive disabilities, officially commenced with a physical kickoff meeting in Padua, hosted by IRECOOP Veneto on June 27-28, 2022. This event followed an initial virtual kickoff in May 2022. IRECOOP Veneto is a training organization in the Veneto Region, recognized legally and promoted by Confcooperative and the Federation of Cooperative Credit banks. The organization focuses on vocational training, professional qualification, and re-qualification for job seekers, employees, and disadvantaged groups, including emerging professional profiles.

The meeting in Padua brought together partners from six countries: Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Italy. The primary goal was to enhance collaboration among the partners towards improving the skills of adult educators. The gathering served as an opportunity for participants to align on project objectives, expected outcomes, and planned activities. It also provided a platform to exchange good practices within the region, exemplified by local initiatives like the Irpea Foundation and the Cooperative Vite Vere Down Dadi. These practices, which include support for independent living and a garden project, as well as a work placement program at a newly opened B&B for people with disabilities, are integrated within the green policies of the Veneto Region, showcasing regional commitments to both social and environmental sustainability.
